Greetings my Sisters and my Mothers:
Praise God from whom all blessings flow! I will look up to the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord who will not slumber nor sleep concerning me nor mine; my help cometh from the Lord who has not given me a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love and of a sound mind. What a joy it is to be in the service of the Lord most especially when we dwell together in unity.
I greet you all in the matchless name of our risen Savior, Jesus the Christ. It seems so far past but it was not a long time ago that we assembled in Lusaka, Zambia to worship God, fellowship with one another and conduct the business of our great Continental Union, BWUA. It was a joy to see all of you. I trust and pray that you all met you families and homes well in Jesus’ name.
I am humbled by my ascendancy to the esteemed position of President of BWUWA. I thank each and every one of you for your support and encouragement as well as your prayers. With the help of God, I will try to be a servant leader and seek your wise counsel in all that we aspire to do together. I look forward to an exciting time of doing missions, education and empowerment together for our sisters and those in need in our sub-region and beyond.
I love you all with the love of God and encourage each us to stand firm against the wiles of the devil. God is our strength. I pray for success for our spouses, children and grandchildren; for unprecedented favor with the work of our hands and minds; for peace and love in our homes; for continuous good health in body, spirit and mind and joy in our hearts with a peace that passeth all understanding.
Kind regards:
Sister Mydea White Simmons
President, BWUWA
