The National Woman’s Missionary Union (NWMU) is an auxiliary of the Liberia Baptist Missionary and Educational Convention. The NWMU was established in 1953 and meets twice a year to fellowship, share resources and raise money for its work. The NWMU has eight nationally elected officers who may be elected for two three year terms. The national officers are based in Monrovia, the capital city of Liberia. The work of the WMU in Liberia is divided up along the lines of the fifteen political subdivisions of the country and each is headed by a county vice director.
